Questions
Which quality should I pick?
Around 75% the difference is hard to see on a photo and the file is usually several times smaller. Go lower for thumbnails, higher for images with text.
Why did a PNG barely shrink?
PNG is lossless and the tool keeps it that way: it only finds a better way to pack the same pixels. For large savings, convert photos to JPG or WebP.
Are my images uploaded?
No. The encoders run in this tab as WebAssembly; the files never leave your device.
