Colour picker

Paste a screenshot or open a picture and click any pixel — a magnifier shows exactly which one. In Chrome and Edge you can also pick straight off the screen. The colour comes in HEX, RGB, HSL, HSV and OKLCH with a copy button each, with its contrast on white and black.

Questions

How do I pick a colour from the screen?

In Chrome and Edge press "Pick from the screen": the pointer becomes a pipette that works over any window. Elsewhere, take a screenshot (Win+Shift+S, Cmd+Shift+4), paste it here with Ctrl+V and click the pixel.

Why is the colour slightly different from the original?

A screenshot holds what the screen showed, after the system’s colour profile and the picture’s compression. For a brand colour, take it from the source file or the CSS rather than from a screenshot of it.

Is my picture uploaded?

No. It is drawn and read in this tab.
