Questions
What goes into the pay for 12 months?
Salary, bonuses and allowances for the 12 calendar months before the month the leave starts. Sick pay, earlier vacation pay and financial aid do not count — and the days they cover go into "Excluded days".
Where does 29.3 come from?
It is the average number of days in a month set by the Labour Code (art. 139). With excluded days, each month loses 29.3 divided by its length per day; here an average month is used, so the result can differ from payroll by a few kopecks.
When is vacation pay paid?
At least three days before the leave starts. Income tax is withheld when it is paid; 13% is right while the year's income stays under 2.4 million roubles.
